As an equine-assisted therapy client, your work with me will include developing a therapeutic connection with horses, who can powerfully support you to come into deeper contact with yourself, your goals, and your needs.

Equine Psychotherapy for Youth & Adults

Sorin Lorne Thomas

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 18 years of experience supporting youth, adults and families. I am trained as a Somatic Psychotherapist and an Equine-Assisted Psychotherapist. In addition to providing strengths-based, trauma-informed therapy in my private practice, I am the founder of Queer Asterisk Therapeutic Services.

I specialize in guiding individuals, relationships, and families as they navigate significant life transitions including changes in career, relationship, gender & sexuality, and coming into greater purpose and passion in life.

Relationship Issues

Each client's experience with me is unique, based on what methods work best for you. I focus on building a genuine, supportive relationship with you that moves at the pace of trust. Rather than giving assignments or practicing skills, I aspire to create a therapeutic space where you feel safe enough to embody yourself and experience your loved ones in powerful new ways.

Fees

My fee is $250 for 50-minute sessions, which can be prorated for extended sessions. I am out of network and cannot bill insurance companies, but I can provide a receipt of services upon request that you may submit to your insurance company.

Treatment Approach

My approach is informed by Rites of Passage work, respecting each person's innate autonomy in their own life and prioritizing the power of belonging. You can expect to uncover a stronger sense of clarity to guide you through your life, naturally begin to experience more acceptance of yourself and others, and tap into your own wellspring of motivation for meaningful change.
